Just About

Wayne J. Liu

Wayne is a certain kind of obsessive that, while might prove a bit bothersome for friends, lends itself incredibly well to the tasks of Editing and Script Supervising. As a little kid the Liu household was bombarded with a young Wayne playing one of his most favorite games "Point Out All of the Continuity Errors in Every Piece of Media on the TV: Even Commercials". Since then, a bit more seasoned movie enthusiast has gone through the film courses at California State University of Long Beach, and has learned to turn that energy towards ingesting as much as he can about the craft of storytelling and Editing.

Couple that with a strong sense of discipline instilled within him from his martial arts training, and an (it's been said) obnoxiously high tolerance for repetition, and what you find is a person who actually enjoys syncing dailies. While simultaneously respects and embraces the collaborative nature of the industry.

Wayne's Script Supervising endeavors actually began after he had been Editing for a few years. Thus while, yes detailed orientated note keeping on set is essential, he also comes with a strong base knowledge about what will and will not cut on the big screen and which of the film making short cuts can be applied, leading to a more productive set. Add a splash of Visual Effects Knowledge and an understanding about what is needed in the post production process and ideally the post process can be just as efficient and productive.

Other than that Wayne enjoys crafties, making puns, and doing card magic during down time.
